About The Measure of a Life

Our Mission

At The Measure of a Life,  our mission is to provide much needed strategic support, resources and experiences to the students of Sam Houston State University.  We will focus on providing hands on business experience to our all-volunteer staff while they learn (and actually do) the things necessary to build and run a non-profit 501(c)3 company that addresses student food insecurity, scholarships and employment / internship opportunities.

What We Are Currently Doing

Building Business Leaders

At The Measure of a Life, we realize how difficult it is to get real world business experience that will lead to better employment opportunities when you graduate.  We are here to help!


Our organization will be governed by a Board of Directors (made up of COBA alumni), and daily operations will be planned, organized and led by student volunteers / interns.  Here you will have the opportunity to work closely with industry experts to actually plan, build and run a corporation... instead of just being another cog in the machine.
